Our faculty are specialists in their field. They have international research reputations, consult for some of the top businesses in the world and are often asked to give academic insight on a wide variety of topics.

Colin Love

Programme Director

Colin was appointed as Teaching Fellow (Strategy & Marketing) and Director of Undergraduate Studies in April 2008. He has been associated with the Business School as a Visiting Fellow since 1995, alongside his commercial interests. Colin holds a BSc from University of Leicester (1969) and a MBA from Imperial College Business School (1994).

Colin has worked extensively with international companies holding senior management directorships with Avon Cosmetics, Croda Chemicals, Betterware and Great Universal stores. In addition in the past 10 years he has taken an entrepreneurial role with ‘dot com’ start-ups and provided consultancy services to Venture Capital companies for investment turnarounds.

Dr. Renáta Kosová

Renáta Kosová is an Associate Professor of Economics in the Department of Management. Prior to her appointment at Imperial College Business School she was on the faculty at Cornell University – School of Hotel Administration and Business School faculty at the George Washington University. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan, an M.A. (Economics) from the University of Michigan; an M.A. (Economics) from Central European University in Hungary; B.A. and an M.B.A from Comenius University in Slovakia. Her research concentrates on the areas of applied industrial organization, international economics and business. Her most recent projects focus on analyses of firm performance, agency and contract theory, franchising and service industries.

Dr Renata Kosova

Professor Richard Green

Professor of Sustainable Energy Business

Recently, the main focus of Richard’s work has been on the impact of low-carbon generation on the electricity market, and the business and policy implications of this. Before becoming the Alan and Sabine Howard Professor of Sustainable Energy Business at Imperial College Business School, Richard was Professor of Energy Economics and Director of the Institute for Energy Research and Policy at the University of Birmingham. He has spent time on secondment to the Office of Electricity Regulation and has held visiting appointments at the World Bank, the University of California Energy Institute and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Professor Richard Green

Dr Yuri Mishina

Assistant Professor of Organisational Behaviour/Strategy

Yuri’s research examines how top management team and stakeholder belief systems influence a firm’s strategic choices and outcomes. Some of his current projects include an exploration of how corporate social performance and illegal activities can influence firm performance, and a study of why some supergroups (i.e., rock all-star bands) are more successful than others. Prior to joining Imperial College, he was an Assistant Professor of management at Michigan State University. Yuri’s research has been published in the Academy of Management Journal, Organization Science, and Strategic Management Journal and he is currently an editorial review board member of the Academy of Management Journal.

Yuri Mishina

Dr Dmitry Sharapov

Assistant Professor – Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Strategy

Dmitry’s research interests lie at the intersections of the literatures on competitive strategy, innovation management, and decision-making under uncertainty. Prior to joining Imperial College, he completed his PhD in Management at the Judge Business School, University of Cambridge. Dmitry’s research has been published in the Academy of Management Journal, The European Business Review and the Academy of Management Proceedings. He teaches Entrepreneurship and Corporate Strategy, and has also taught and coached on the Innovation and Entrepreneurship summer school.
