Benedicte Aune

While completing my undergraduate degree in finance, my affinity for markets and finance soared, and since then, I have had the opportunity of taking on different roles within the industry. My experiences made my decision to join Imperial quite easy as I am convinced that the programme’s emphasis on practical application of theories will be an invaluable stepping-stone for continued success in my career.

My personal experience includes a year working in venture capital and impact investing fund while attending university. After completion of my undergraduate degree I spent a year as a liquidity analyst at Goldman Sachs in London. While the work was interesting, I applied to Imperial College Business School to acquire deeper technical depth as the programme is known for taking a quantitative approach to its courses.

Imperial provides invaluable help in the recruitment process. After working in the City of London, I learnt the advantage of having the world’s financial hub close by. At Imperial, we have tremendous access to attend events, workshops and networking with highly reputable firms and smaller investment boutiques.

I choose to be a Student Ambassador because I am proud of being a part of the MSc Finance programme and I want to inform prospective students to secure a flourishing student body for the future. The programme and Imperial College Business School resonates with me because of the academic strength, but also because the diversity of the students who are passionate about issues and activities that reach far beyond the classroom.
