Why did you choose to study MSc Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Management and why specifically at Imperial College Business School?

I chose Imperial College Business School because of its reputation as one of the best schools for innovation in the world.  The opportunity to study at a university like Imperial meant I would be challenged to give my best.  It also meant I would get to network with some of the best and brightest.  As someone who wanted to start a business at some point in my career, I wanted to have exposure to the incubators and network of talented individuals that came with being a student of the Business School.  In hindsight, I believe I made the right decision.

Career & professional development

What was the most important thing/learning point you took with you from the Business School?

I took away a lot of valuable lessons from my time at the Business School, however, what stood out for me was the power of engaging with other people.  People see things from different and interesting perspectives, and being open to these ideas will help to sharpen your viewpoint on an issue, whatever it may be.

The alumni network

How have you volunteered at the Business School since you graduated? Why do you feel it’s important to volunteer your time and experience?

I have volunteered my time to the Business School as a panel speaker at student events, because I think it is important to help promote and improve what has been of such value to myself, for those coming up behind me.

Advice for future students

What advice would you give to a prospective student considering studying the same Business School programme as you?

If you want to start a business, you will be equipped with the necessary tools of the trade.  But like anything worthwhile, you will only get what you are willing to invest.
