Why did you choose to study MSc International Health Management at Imperial College Business School?
As I was already at Imperial studying Biology, I knew that the Business School offered the MSc International Health Management, which I saw as the perfect stepping stone for converting my science background into a foundation to enter the world of consulting and business.
What advice would you give to a prospective student considering studying here?
Going to the Business School is, in my opinion, the best decision I have made and I would encourage any perspective student to apply. The courses are exceptionally well taught, the people on the courses are great and you have access to the facilities of the second best university in the world.
What is your fondest memory from your time at the Business School?
My fondest memory is working with a fantastic group of people in my coursework group for the entire year I was there. I learnt a huge amount from them and made some life long friends a long the way!
How has the Business School helped develop your career?
The Business School gave me the business foundation I needed to move into consulting from science, but more importantly the confidence and team working skills to make the move, which have been incredibly important for my career progression so far.
How did you benefit from the services provided by the Business School’s Career and Professional Development Services Team?
The Business School Careers service is incredibly helpful in preparing you for applying for jobs through CV and cover letter checks as well as interview preparation through mock interviews and assessment centres.
What do you enjoy most about your work and what are the main challenges that you face?
I enjoy the variety of work at Deloitte, having worked at four completely different clients in different sectors and countries over the course of a year. This has allowed me to identify the areas that I am truly interested in and will help guide me as I specialise later in my career
How do you stay connected with others from your Business School alumni network?
I regularly attend alumni events at the Business School with past, current and future students and I stay in touch with my course mates through LinkedIn and Facebook.
What value do you get out of your Business School and alumni connections?
I find staying in touch with the Business School very important as I can help advise students who are going through the same experiences that I went through while also finding out about new opportunities through other members of the alumni network.
