I chose to be a Student Ambassador for Imperial College business school as a great way to get involved with the Imperial community during my time on the MSc International Health Management programme. It truly is a unique course that gives you the opportunity to understand the theory behind how to effectively run a healthcare system in a global environment and doesn’t stop there. Already we’ve looked at how major pharmaceutical companies keep their competitive edge, dissected key business strategies and are looking at ways to reshape and evolve the healthcare sector.
Situated in the heart of London, the business school has a diverse community and a global specialist reputation with the aim of helping you become a leader in business. As a local student and clinician, my knowledge of UK healthcare systems adds to those of the international students in our cohort. We combine ideas from all around the world and test out how these can work in practice. This MSc will definitely help me make the jump from clinical practice to management and so far, it has given me the tools to develop my professional career and allowed me to meet some amazing people from all over the world.
Choosing to study a new course in London can be a daunting process. As a Student Ambassador in such a vibrant and bustling city, I look forward to helping a future cohort get the most out of their Imperial experience, starting with a little local knowledge.
