Why did you choose to study Msc Management and why specifically at Imperial College Business School?
I chose Imperial College Business School, based on the world rankings, and plus I wanted my postgraduate year to be in London.
What advice would you give to a prospective student considering studying MSc Management programme as you?
I would advise a prospective student to ensure they meet all the requirements to get on the course, both with reference qualifications and other extra-curricular, as the programme is a very rigorous one consisting of over 10 varying modules.
What is your fondest memory from your time at the Business School?
I enjoyed being the social rep of my programme, and planning both the Christmas party and the end of year ball. It was good to be able to give back to my fellow students at wide, and it enabled me touch base with other students that were not in any of my team/group exercises during the course of the year.
How has the Business School helped develop your career?
The Business school helped build my network of financial professionals, and with this I was able to apply to companies directly. The Career service, in particular, equipped me with the knowledge, skills and know how to successfully pass interviews and assessment days of the various banks and financial institutions.
How did you benefit from the services provided by the Business School’s Career and Professional Development Services Team?
The mock interviews and notifications on job vacancies from the Career site helped keep me one step ahead of my peers in other universities.
What do you enjoy most about your work and what are the main challenges that you face?
I am currently in the Change the Bank function of Client and Onboarding team of HSBC Investment Bank, and work with different projects affecting different internal and external stakeholders. The main challenges for any project manager are being able to manage the expectations of your stakeholder, and being able to deliver on the project assigned to you by the business sponsor.
In what way is remaining connected to your alumni network important to you? / What value do you get out of your Business School and alumni connections?
I believe remaining connected to the alumni network is really important, as you do not know what the future holds for you, and in every situation you find yourself in, there could be an Imperial alumns that you share something major in common with, there to help.
