Studying MSc Management at Imperial

Why did you choose to do your MSc Management at Imperial College Business School?

My heart was set on studying business from an early age, but I decided to pursue economics and politics in my undergraduate studies. As business was my long-term path, trying something different as an undergrad was the right way forward.  As an entrepreneur, I chose to study MSc Management because it would give me a strong background in business and allow me to begin my career early. And I chose Imperial College Business School for its clear focus in entrepreneurship, its leading global reputation, and my desire to live abroad in London.

What is your fondest memory from your time at the Business School?

Aside from some fun nights in the pub, the Imperial College Business Plan Competition was a great part of the experience. I definitely miss being in London and the vibe in South Kensington.

Career & Professional Development

How has the Business School helped develop your career?

Having the confidence to go out post-Imperial with the credit of graduating from a world-class institution is game changing.  Employers in any field know you have been pre-qualified and passed the test of an awesome standard education.  The Business School gave enough diversity in course selection, guest speakers, and extra curricular opportunities that taught me that there were more than the conventional options post-business school.

What do you enjoy most about your work and what are the main challenges that you face?

No day is the same.  Being an entrepreneur, I enjoy everything about what I do. Working is playing and you get to solve problems and create solutions you didn’t even know existed. I think the biggest challenge is finding a balance beyond the work. This is definitely something I’ve improved upon, but have not come close to mastering.

How do you stay connected with others from your Business School alumni network?

I am still often in London and around the world with my business so it allows me to connect with fellow alumni. I was most recently in NYC and attended a reunion. Facebook and LinkedIn have also proved to be great ways of staying in touch.
