Jolande Bot-Vos

Jolande Bot-Vos

MSc Management Programme Director and Principal Teaching Fellow in Accounting

Jolande Bot-Vos teaches financial and management accounting on several masters, executive and undergraduate programmes at the Business School. Jolande’s career has spanned consulting, financial management and academia. Her work as a management consultant included strategy development, overhead restructuring programmes, investment assessments, new product development and pricing schemes.

Dr Paolo Taticchi

Principal Teaching Fellow

Paolo performs scientific research in performance measurement and management, business networks and corporate sustainability. These research activities have been documented in many books, chapters, journal and conference papers. He is the Editor and Co-Author of the books “Business Performance Measurement and Management: new contexts, themes and challenges” and “Corporate Sustainability” published by Springer internationally.

Dr Wolfram Wiesemann

Associate Professor

Dr Wolfram Wiesemann is an Associate Professor at Imperial College Business School. His research focuses on the development of tractable computational methods for the solution of stochastic and robust optimisation problems, as well as applications in operations management, finance and health care. He currently teaches the Project Management module.

Dr Johannes Hattula

Assistant Professor of Marketing

Johannes’ research interests include managerial and consumer decision making as well as topics of social influence. His research work has been accepted for publication at the Journal of Marketing Research and the International Journal of Research in Marketing, and has been featured by business publications such as Harvard Business Review and the MSI Marketing Science Institute.

Dr Sankalp Chaturvedi

Associate Professor of OB and Leadership

The central focus of Sankalp’s research is in the areas of organizational citizenship behaviour (OCB), leadership, and interpersonal trust. In addition, Sankalp is also interested in examining the “nature vs. nurture” debates with regard to behaviours in organizations. His articles have been published in the many journals, including Journal of Applied Psychology, Organizational Behavior & Human Decision Processes, Strategic Management Journal, Leadership Quarterly, Journal of Management , Journal of Vocational Behavior and Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice.

Yuri Mishina

Dr Yuri Mishina

Assistant Professor in OB/Strategy

Yuri’s research examines within-firm corporate governance processes, and in particular, how top management team and stakeholder belief systems influence a firm’s strategic choices and outcomes. His research has been published in the Academy of Management Journal,Organization Science, and Strategic Management Journal and he is currently an editorial review board member of the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, and Strategic Management Journal and an International Research Fellow of the Oxford University Centre for Corporate Reputation.

Dr Llewellyn D.W. Thomas

Dr Llewellyn Thomas

Visiting Professor

Llewellyn’s research interests lie in the co-evolutionary processes that lead to successful innovations and entrepreneurship. He focuses on technology strategy with a particular interest in innovation in the technologies of money, and ecosystem creation, evolution and dynamics in digital economy contexts. Before joining Imperial College, he founded a number of companies, as well as being a management consultant specialising in competitive and operational strategy in financial services contexts. Llewellyn is currently a Trustee of the PayPal Giving Fund, the charity associated with charitable giving on eBay and PayPal.

Professor Richard Green

Professor Richard Green

Professor of Sustainable Energy Business

An economist, Richard has been studying the economics and regulation of the electricity industry for 25 years. He has written extensively on market power in wholesale electricity markets and has also worked on transmission pricing. More recently, the main focus of his work has been on the impact of low-carbon generation (nuclear and renewables) on the electricity market, and the business and policy implications of this.

Colin Love

Colin Love

Principal Teaching Fellow

Colin has worked extensively with international companies holding senior management directorships with Avon Cosmetics, Croda Chemicals, Betterware and Great Universal stores. In addition in the past 10 years he has taken an entrepreneurial role with ‘dot com’ start-ups and provided consultancy services to Venture Capital companies for investment turnarounds. His teaching interests lie in Marketing, Business Strategy and International Business.

Dr Dmitry Sharapov

Assistant Professor – Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Strategy

Dmitry’s research interests lie at the intersections of the literatures on competitive strategy, innovation management, and decision-making under uncertainty. His current research aims to improve understanding of competitive dynamics under uncertainty, of innovation and the inventive process, and of competition within and between innovation ecosystems. He teaches Entrepreneurship and Corporate Strategy.

Dr Maria T Farkas

Assistant Professor in Organisational Behaviour

Maria Farkas is an Assistant Professor at Imperial College Business School. Maria received a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in Business Administration and Sociology and a B.A. in English and Economics from Wellesley College. Prior to pursuing her Ph.D., Maria was a Research Associate at the Harvard Business School where she wrote several case studies and teaching notes.

Dr. Elena Dalpiaz is Assistant Professor of Strategy. She holds a PhD degree from Bocconi University, where she also earned her BA in Economics and Law (with honours). During 2007 and 2008, she was a visiting scholar at the University of Texas at Austin, McCombs Business School.

Nelson Phillips

Professor Nelson Phillips

Abu Dhabi Chamber Chair in Innovation and Strategy

Professor Phillips’ research interests lie in four main areas. First, he has become increasingly engaged in a program of research looking at a range of different but related issues in entrepreneurship. From a more practical perspective, he is interested in how to scale up new, high-growth ventures and in how scaling up social enterprises differs from scaling up more traditional companies. He is also interested in how new ventures “pivot” as this activity remains highly undertheorized. He is also involved in a project investigating how the idea of an incubator has been adapted to different cultural setting. When studying entrepreneurship, Professor Phillips often uses ideas from organization theory to help him theorize and he has found this approach to be particularly fruitful.

Dr Ileana Stigliani

Assistant Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship

Dr Ileana Stigliani is Assistant Professor of Design and Innovation at the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Department. She received her PhD in Management from Bocconi University, Milan.

Her research focuses on how material artifacts and practices influence cognitive processes – including sensemaking and sensegiving , categorization, and perceptions of organizational and professional identities – within organizations.

Dr Jaemin Lee

Assistant Professor of Design and Innovation 

Jaemin Lee is Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Imperial College Business School. He graduated from the Entrepreneurship and Family Enterprise Department at the INSEAD.

His research comprises of two streams: he studies how multiple markets co-evolve as a result of entrepreneurial activities; he also studies how organizations learn as a result of performance and consumer feedbacks, and intra-firm power and politics.
