I have always been interested in finance, mathematics and programming, and MSc Risk Management and Financial Engineering programme enables me to combine these interests in a creative way. By taking this MSc programme I can further my study in programming and financial modelling, which allows me to solve complicated real-world problems. For example, I am now able to test a particular trading strategy using Python and compare this strategy’s profitability with another one.
There is a career service team consists of more than 20 staff, which is exclusive for the students at Imperial College Business School. This team provides various services ranging from CV reviews to Mock interviews to improve employability for students like me. In addition, many career events of major banks and consulting firms are held at Imperial College Business School, where I can acquire deeper information about graduate schemes and work experiences at these firms.
I chose to be a part of the Student Ambassador Scheme because I want to meet more people and improve my interpersonal skills. By taking part in this scheme, I will be able to introduce Imperial College Business School to the perspective students and answer questions for them. Through communicating with the perspective students I will become a good listener, and make more friends from different backgrounds to expand my horizon.
