Why did you choose to study at the Business School and why specifically at Imperial College Business School?
The well-established reputation and the digital aspect of the course were the main reasons why I chose the Business School.
What advice would you give to a prospective student considering studying the same programme as you?
Be proactive. Be curious. Do not be afraid to ask questions.
How did you find living in London?
Living in South Kensington was amazing, there is everything from museums, restaurants and nightclubs. Since South Kensington is in the heart of London, it is also very convenient to travel to other zones! A year in London has definitely brightened my eyes!
How was the Business School community like?
Diverse and nice! During the term time, most Business School students would be in the café and meeting room areas, where I got to see so many similar faces again and again. It created many opportunities to get to know many other students from different MSc programmes. Overall, I believe it helped to broaden both my social and professional network too!
What was a typical day the Business School like?
There were so many projects going on at the same time, not only for your studies, but also other personal commitments.
What do you enjoy most about your study at the Business School and what were the main challenges?
I have found what inspires me the most both academically and personally. It was the module I most enjoyed in my spring term – Relationship Marketing. Andreas was a very enthusiastic and passionate lecturer, he has shown us how powerful and influential relationship marketing can be applied in affecting both the company and its customers’ perceptions. It fascinated and inspired me to study further hence I chose my dissertation topic on Transforming Customer Relationships Through A New Corporate Identity. It was a joy to research on this topic as I was able to apply the relationship marketing knowledge to real business cases. Having said that, it was still challenging to find relevant information and articles to support my arguments; without the suggestions and advice from my friends (classmates) and professors, I would not have gone that far.
In what way is remaining connected to your alumni network important to you?
I would love to keep contact with my fellow course mates as they all excelled in different fields, and I am convinced that I will need their expertise in the future.
Have you taken advantage of any of the lifelong learning opportunities offered to you as an alumni benefit? Why is it important to you to continue our learning journey?
Since I have just graduated, so I have got to explore what the Alumni office can offer. I would love to stay connected and be introduced to many more alumni to expand my professional network and I am hoping to learn more from them!
