MSc Strategic Marketing

Why did you choose to study MSc Strategic Marketing at Imperial College Business School? 

I was interested in the focus on the Digital Landscape and more traditional marketing related subjects such as Branding and Strategy. As well as the reputation of Imperial College.

What advice would you give to a prospective student considering studying here?

I would say make the best use of the resources (professors, lecturers, facilities, classmates, events) at the School. Put your heart and mind into each project, you will learn a lot that will benefit you in your career after the Business School.

What do you miss most from your days at the Business School?

Being in class. I miss discussing and debating with classmates and professors and just being in an environment which allowed me to grow.

How has the Business School helped develop your career?

I found the benefits of working in a very international environment as well as improving my execution of tasks have helped me in my career progression.

How did you benefit from the services provided by the Business School’s Career and Professional Development Services Team?

It was a huge benefit to be able to go to a team that only works with your career. I had 3 training interviews which helped me a lot and the people in the team helped me a lot along the way.

What do you enjoy most about your work and what are the main challenges that you face?

What I enjoy the most is problem solving and the ‘problems’ are also the biggest challenges I face every day. You can never anticipate what kind of issues you have to deal with and coming up with solutions is something that really makes me satisfied with my role.

How do you stay connected with others from your Business School alumni network?

I remain connected to the network through LinkedIn, facebook and trips to different cities were people are now located.

What value do you get out of your Business School and alumni connections?

There is a lot of knowledge at Imperial College and the Business School and with the alumni. In order to get the most out of my career (and life), it is important to have access to this knowledge, as it will be of great help for me in my future career. But also gives me the opportunity to give something back to the School that helped me to transform from a student to the working man I am today.
