Your time at Imperial College Business School

Why did you choose to study your programme, and why specifically at Imperial College Business School?  

I opted for this course because I wanted to gain insight and knowledge into the quantitative side of marketing and understand how companies make decisions based on the data. The course ranked among the top marketing courses around the globe. Imperial College Business School is well-known among the world-leading universities throughout the world. It offers the very best support, career guidance and advice tailored to the student's specific career needs. 

What was the most important learning point you took with you from the Business School? And the most surprising thing about the programme?

I enjoyed working on the group project as it helped me enhance my teamwork and communication skills and make strategic decisions that impact results. Working with people from different backgrounds and cultures helped me understand that people have a different skillset. This allowed me to understand different working styles.

What advice would you give to a prospective student considering studying the same programme as you?

Be enthusiastic! Take every opportunity that you see. For example, the role opens for being the Student Ambassador; apply for it and ask questions if you have as we all are here to learn and enhance our skillset.

Tell us about your current job

How has your programme contributed to your career success? 

During my time at Imperial, I learned the skillset that helped me during my day-to-day work. Moreover, working with a diverse range of people from different backgrounds really helped me fit well in my workplace. In addition, we had tight deadlines for our modules during the course that really helped to enhance time management. In the workplace, we have to cope with our time management skills and achieve the deadline within the given amount of time.

How do you plan to use the skills and knowledge you gained during the programme within your Career going forward?

I learned various skillset during my time at the Business School, such as working under pressure and managing multiple projects simultaneously. I also had the privilege to manage the team, which allowed me to enhance my leadership skills and develop new ideas to make a beneficial impact.

What do you enjoy most about your current work?

Working on the Digital Product team, allows me to see the picture from a holistic point of view and work along the teams to see how we can grow the sales of these products and work on the different projects along with different groups that allow me to interact with different people and a great opportunity to network!

What are the most exciting/difficult challenges facing your sector currently?

Firstly, the growing demand for digitalisation as digital is growing faster than ever before. The Telco companies must deliver communication tools, services, and systems in a flexible environment. Secondly, transparency - telecoms companies will also need to ensure that they're transparent with their consumers and clients about how they use data

What is your proudest achievement in the job so far?

Being part of the diversity group within my role, I had the opportunity to be the first Vice President for the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion at the Business School. When it comes to diversity, I am passionate about it, and bringing my experience from Imperial is something exciting!
