Our location in South Kensington brings you to the cultural heart of London with many of the world’s most famous museums, art galleries, parks and restaurants on your doorstep. We are also close to the City, London’s financial and business centre, home to the headquarters of many global organisations.
The Central Library is located on the South Kensington Campus. It has a range of different study zones to suit you and each floor is designated as either group, quiet or silent study to help everyone find their own preferred work space. The Central Library is open 24 hours.
Our dedicated Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) team will assist you with any network or access enquiries. As a Summer School student, you will gain access to the Imperial Network as well as secure personal file space and an Imperial email address.
There are computer rooms available in the Business School and Central Library which Summer School students can use and you will also be able to log onto the wireless WIFI network.
Imperial College Health Centre
The College’s Health Centre is located on the South Kensington Campus. Summer School students can register to see a doctor or nurse if health problems arise during their stay, however charges apply for non-UK residents. Summer School students are strongly advised to take out health insurance.
Catering and shopping
Our catering facilities offer a wide range of foods and drinks together with the opportunity to socialise with friends and colleagues. There are six restaurants and cafes and three pubs on campus which provide quality food and drink.
The campus is also located close to many restaurants and shops in South Kensington and nearby Knightsbridge and High Street Kensington.
As a visiting student at Imperial College, you will be able to use the Ethos Sports Centre, our state-of-the-art sports facility based just beside the Business School. Find out more about the External Visiting Student membership.
