External seminars

In the External Seminar series, we welcome speakers from other universities to share their research findings with the department to create a community of engagement and discussion. All research staff and PhD students are welcome to attend. The details for the 2018-19 seminars are below:

Internal seminars

The I&E Group runs two types of internal seminar – the Paper Development Workshop and the PhD & Postdoc Reading Seminar – both allow members of the department to share their own work with one another.


I&E Paper Development Workshop

The goal of these informal workshops is to help PhD students, post-docs and Faculty members refine already quite well developed papers for initial journal submission or for R&R re-submission. For further information and to volunteer, please contact Christian Hampel.

PhD & Postdoc Reading Seminar

Each workshop presents a particular theory relevant to the Department’s work, a (second) empirical paper where researchers have applied and advanced the theory and a way to apply the theory to a specific problem (research question).
