New Ventures

Our research explores multiple aspects of new venture evolution, particularly those related to the founding team and the strategic choices made by entrepreneurs during and beyond founding their ventures. Within this theme, we examine the mechanisms and policies that lead to formation of founding teams with particular characteristics, how prior founding experience of serial founders impacts the outcomes for their successive ventures, and the impact of pre-entry endowments and strategic positioning choices on the ventures’ performance in new markets.
