Sustainable Societies are those that consider the impact of current decision-making, and look to protect the use of economic, social and natural resources for the benefit of future generations. This research project, funded by RCUK and the EPSRC from 2012-2016, focuses on ICT solutions and sought to develop a community of practice to address the issues of sustainability in the digital economy, communicating results to academic, industry and policy partners.

How will this be achieved?

Ultimately we hope to make the Sustainable Society Network+ the figurehead for UK research into the link between the Digitial Economy and sustainable society development. To understand more about this area, there are 4 core activities:
