We will provide funding for at least ten pilot studies undertaken by researchers not working directly on the research themes. There will be opportunities for early career researchers to apply for funds to support their own projects on ICT for sustainable societies, and also for those at other stages of their careers working in this field.
Selected projects will produce an impact document outlining the issues, as well as a short description of the Research Challenges raised by and experienced during their work. Results will be shared among the network community.
The Application Process
- Once the topics have been selected, opportunities will be advertised via the RCUK Digital Economy theme website.
- The application process will be two stage and further details will appear here shortly.
- All projects will be required to supply results relevant to the Network+ vision and objectives. Project reviews during their lifespan will also be carried out containing members of the network.
- We encourage practioner collaboration within such bids and can facilitate interaction if required. However only UK institutions or individuals can lead bids for network funds
Further details on the form of pilot studies and the application process will be posted here in due course.
