The Innovation Studies Centre (ISC) was a ten year EPSRC-funded programme conducting multi-disciplinary research on the innovation process in the science and engineering industries, from knowledge creation to commercialisation. Running from 2003-2013 the ISC focused on user-led product and service delivery and the development of tools to manage technological innovation.

Working closely with government, leading international firms, and fast growing small high tech companies, ISC research has had a notable impact on its industry partners and government thinking, providing timely and tailored solutions to real-world problems. Several high-profile outputs were the result, including: project management expertise in the construction of Heathrow Terminal 5, the 2012 Olympic Park and Crossrail; the development of government innovation strategy; and client-centric innovation at IBM.

In the video below, ISC Director Professor David Gann and Co-Director Professor Ammon Salter discuss the Centre and its core impacts.
