SME Graduate Internship Scheme
We have fully allocated all of our funding for summer 2020, however if you would like to be kept informed of funding updates for the SME Graduate Internship Scheme Summer 2021 please complete our Expression of Interest form.
The SME Graduate Internship Scheme (part-funded by Santander Universities), run by Imperial College London Careers Service, is able to offer funding to support the engagement of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with Imperial students through paid project based internships.
The programme supports SMEs to provide internship opportunities to final year students and graduates, to take place over the summer vacation (July – September) by part-funding their training allowance. The SME must match, or exceed, the funding provided through this scheme.
This internship programme provides you with access to our innovative talent and the opportunity to get a different perspective on your projects. Our students will in turn gain invaluable insights into a wide range of industries and the value of working within a smaller company. Santander Universities seeks to support the employability and professional development of graduates, and in turn hope that SME’s engaged in the scheme consider extending successful internships into full time employment.
The programme is exclusively open to organisations based in the UK with 250 employees or less, which have an annual turnover of up to £50 million. We are able to part fund internships up to a maximum of £1477 (or £1260 outside Greater London) for an 8 week internship. The SME will be required to match-fund the position to a minimum of £184.63 per week (or £157.50 outside Greater London).
