Top award for Wye students

Students from Imperial College at Wye are celebrating a top national award. A team from Wye came first in the RASE Food Marketing Challenge.

The students, in their last year of Business and Food Marketing BSc degrees at Wye, had to write an essay to reach the final of the Challenge sponsored by The Grocer magazine and Promar International. The final round, which featured two teams from Wye, was decided after presentations on marketing a regional cheese.

The winning Wye team were awarded an engraved glass trophy and individual certificates and £200 prize money. Picture shows them celebrating their success (from left): Jan Cordesmeyer (22), Claire Power (23), Emma Yarnold (21), Lucy Emmett (21) and Shelley Cosway (22).
