Aisling Minard

Aisling obtained her MChem from the University of Leeds, during which she carried out a masters project with Professor Andrew Wilson on supramolecular self-sorting. Following this, Aisling stayed at the University of Leeds to undergo her PhD with Dr Robin Bon, Dr Stuart Warriner and Professor David Beech using chemical biology approaches to understand the mode of action of TRPC1/4/5 channel modulators. Following her PhD, Aisling joined Marco at Imperial College London to work in the ChemBioAgeing group as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate. Aisling’s work focuses on designing and developing novel small-molecule tools to probe perturb and track four-stranded DNA G-quadruplexes in living cells, with the aim of investigating their role in ageing progression and in rare accelerating ageing disorders.
