The Department is located on the main Imperial College London campus, located in the South Kensington area of central London. The nearest underground stations are South Kensington and Gloucester Road (both served by the Piccadilly, Circle and District lines). Parking may be available for visitors by prior arrangement with a member of the Department.

- Map of Imperial College South Kensington Campus. The main entrance to the Department is via the Royal School of Mines Building on Prince Consort Road, between 10 and 12 on the campus map. Alternatively you can access campus via the main College entrance on Exhibition Road (pink/blue shaded box on the same map) and walk through the Bessemer Building (11 on the map).
