Education Day 7 April 2011 - Embedding Research in University Education
The next Education Day will take place on 7 April 2011 from 10:15 in the Sir Alexander Fleming Building on the South Kensington campus. The theme for the event is Embedding Research in University Education and the day will include a combination of plenary and parallel sessions. The aim of Education Day is to raise the profile of teaching throughout the College, bring staff together in a collegiate way for discussion of ideas and practice, and to honour outstanding teachers from across the College.

We are delighted to announce that Professor David Radcliffe, Kamyar Haghighi Head of the School of Engineering Education and Epistemology Professor of Engineering Education at Purdue University, has accepted our invitation to give the opening plenary at the April 2011 event and that Dr Jonathan Leape, Director, LSE100 from the London School of Economics and Political Science, will deliver the keynote speech. The day will conclude with the presentation by the Rector of the College Awards for Excellence in Teaching, Pastoral Care and Research Supervision and a wine reception. All members of staff are warmly invited to attend.
