The President's Undergraduate Scholarships are the most prestigious awards the College has to offer. They are designed to reward students of any nationality who demonstrate the highest academic excellence and potential. The department nominates scholarship recipients as part of the admission process.
Maurice Hancock Awards: The department makes up to 12 awards each year to first year entrants with outstanding A-level results. All eligible students are automatically considered, and the decision is made in early September once we have recieved the A-level results.
Industry Sponsorship Schemes (Home students only): The Department is a member of the IET’s Power Academy and the UK Electronics Skills Foundation (UKESF). Both schemes were established in recognition of the shortage of talented engineers for UK industry. Successful candidates are matched with sponsoring companies who provide a bursary, paid summer work placements and mentoring. Students can apply to these schemes during their 1st year of study.
