Higher Education
The Equality Challenge Unit (now part of the AdvanceHE organisation) works to further and support equality and diversity for staff and students in higher education. They provide a central resource of advice and guidance for the sector, on topics such as:

- Creating an inclusive environment
- Student recruitment, retention and attainment
- Staff employment and career development
- Using data and evidence
Learned and Professional Societies
The Royal Society has produced a number of reports and publications as part of its commitment to increasing diversity in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
The Institute of Physics has a number of diversity projects, including Project Juno.
Networks
Higher Education Race Action Group (HERAG) is a network for anyone interested in advancing race equality in higher education.
The Women’s Engineering Society is a professional network for women engineers, scientists and technologists offering inspiration, support and professional development.
Campaigning organisations
WISE campaigns for gender balance in science, technology and engineering and also offers training.
Business in the Community has campaigns on age, gender and race.
Stonewall is a lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender rights charity. Their website has information, help and advice, including a glossary of terms to educate people about language.
International organisations
The European Institute for Gender Equality maintains a range of information, publications and resources.
