SUMMARY:Y12 STEM Potential programme applications
DESCRIPTION:Applications for STEM Potential Y12 are now open!\n This two-y
 ear programme aims to support you in your Y12 and Y13 studies via lectures
 \, subject specific workshops and university application guidance\, all of
  which is underpinned by regular contact with an e-mentor.\n There will b
 e a number of contact days when you are expected to attend scheduled event
 s at Imperial College London – these days will be to help you to prepare
  for your university application including support for your personal state
 ment and mock interview sessions\, alongside Masterclasses in the Science 
 and Maths subjects.\n In addition\, you will be allocated an e-mentor (a 
 current UG or PG student studying at Imperial) who is available to answer 
 any questions you may have regarding university life and Imperial\, via th
 e e-mentoring platform. They will be available for regular contact to offe
 r support and advice when you need it during the programme.\nIn order for 
 us to apply for the programme you will need to fulfil the following criter
 ia: \n\nBe in Year 12 from September 2017.\nBe studying at least 3 A-Leve
 ls (or equivalent) including Maths and at least one of Chemistry\, Physics
  & Biology.\nHave achieved a minimum of 5A and 3B grades in your GCSE’s 
 including at least an A in Maths\, AA in Sciences and B in English Languag
 e.\nBe capable of achieving at least two A grades at A-level (or equivalen
 t).\nBe willing to travel to Imperial College up to five times a year on t
 he scheduled dates\n\nThe programme aims to support high achieving\, eligi
 ble students from backgrounds under-represented in Higher Education.\nThi
 s application will take approximately 15 minutes to fill in and you will a
 lso be asked to provide a personal statement of up to 500 words as part of
  the application.\nYour responses will be saved for a week if you choose t
 o complete the form at a later stage but please be aware that for your app
 lication to be recorded you must click through to the final question and p
 ress the final “Submit form” button to submit your responses. You will
  receive a confirmation email.\nYou will be asked to provide details for y
 our teacher and parent/guardian who will be contacted to verify your detai
 ls and suitability for this course. Please ensure you have the contact det

 ons is 11:59pm on Tuesday 3rd October and applications that are not compl
 eted by this time will not be considered. Teacher declarations will need t

 nAll applicants will be informed whether or not they have been successful 
 with their application by Friday 2nd November 2017. Successful candidates
  will be invited to an evening event at Imperial College London on Wednesd
 ay 15th November.
