SUMMARY:Auto-Biology
DESCRIPTION:‘Auto-Biology’ by Dr Neil P Dufton is a new exhibition in t
he Centre for Co-Curricular Studies\, that will run until July 2015.\nThe
ten science-inspired works aim to give visual ‘narrative’ to complex s
cientific processes drawing from techniques\, concepts and disease patholo
gies within his research. It includes illustrations that have been accept
ed into the Wellcome image collection.\nThe exhibition will be open with a
grand ceremony on 16 October\, which is free to attend and open to all.\n
Entrance to the Centre is via third floor Sherfield building (between numb

the University of Bath with a BSc (Hon) Pharmacology in 2006. He went on
to undertake a PhD at the William Harvey Research Institute within the Ba
rt’s and the London Medical School with Professors Perretti and Flower.
The project focused on the interaction of the anti-inflammatory protein A
nnexin 1 with its receptor FPR2/ALX in regualting innate immunology and t
he resolution of inflammation.\nIn 2010 he moved to Canada for two years t
o work with Professor John Wallace at the Farncombe Family Digestive Healt
h Research Institute\, McMaster University investigating the role of hydro
gen sulfide gas in regulating inflammation. \nOn returning to the UK in 2
012 Neil became a post-doctoral research associate at the National Heart a
nd Lung Institute (NHLI) at Imperial College London with Dr Anna Randi. Dr
Randi’s group is focused on endothelial homeostasis\, angiogenesis and
  inflammation in vascular biology
