 Programme\nOffering A-Level Maths and Science Workshops:\n\n5 Workshops (2
  Saturdays\, 2 Sundays and a Tuesday during half term 2014) \nMentored per
 sonal study sessions in STEM related subjects – Maths plus Physics / Che
 mistry /Biology and Personal Effectiveness \nPractical hands-on laboratory
  investigations \nPersonal Effectiveness – to help students prepare for 
 University admissions\, effective learning participation at Degree level a
 nd in the workplace\n\nWorkshops will be delivered at Imperial College Lon
 don’s South Kensington campus\nWorkshops will be delivered in an interac
 tive and participatory manner\, and will be based on common A Level curric
 ulum topics. Some sessions will be led by academic leaders\, others will b
 e based on problem-based learning and textbook exercises supported by unde
 rgraduate peer-group mentors. The mentors will also provide tutoring on ho
 mework or other revision exercises. Practical application of science and m
 aths learning will be experimented with in a lab environment.\nTraining se
 ssions on Personal Effectiveness are designed to help students improve lea
 rning styles\, time management\, self-confidence\, communication and prese
 ntation skills\, interview skills\, university applications. STEM careers 
 advice and guidance will also be provided.\nStudents must be studying at l
 east three A Levels including two or more of the following subjects: Maths
  (compulsory)\, Physics\, Biology\, Chemistry.\nThis event is fully funded
  by Imperial College London G&T Access Fund for high achieving eligible st
 udents.
