 ollege London\, took part in the British Science Association Space Day.\nD
 r Foster helped organise the British Science Associations (BSA) Space day\
 , which was held at the Drink\, Shop and Do café in London’s Kings cros
 s. The aim of the Space Day was to encourage members of the public to enga
 ge with science and to advance their understanding of space science.\nDr F
 oster is the Outreach Officer for the Physics department at Imperial Colle
 ge London. He is a qualified rocket scientist and his research focuses on 
 Solar-terrestrial Physics\, specialising in solar variability and climate 
 change.\nDr Foster carried out various activities on the day\, including t
 alks about solar physics\, astronomy and space research and various hands 
 on workshops which allowed the public to get involved. Simon showed the pu
 blic pieces of the Cluster satellite that was destroyed in the maiden laun
 ch of the European Space Agencies (ESA) Ariane 5 rocket\, giving a stark v
 isual reminder of the dangers of space flight.
