We would like to invite you to the next CPE Soft Electronic Materials seminar this Thursday:
Voltage Losses and Recombination in Organic Solar Cells
Mohammed Azzouzi and Flurin Eisner
17.00 5 March
Blackett Laboratory B1004
Refreshments will follow in the Blackett level 8 common room for drinks, nibbles and networking.
Mohammed’s part of the talk will focus on a recently published model on how charge-transfer state properties affect radiative and non-radiative recombination in organic solar cells, and Flurin will demonstrate the application of the model to explain the properties of recently published high efficiency organic solar cells.
Flurin is currently a Research Fellow and Mohammed is a PhD student, both in Jenny Nelson’s group, and both working on understanding recombination and charge-generation processes in disordered materials for photovoltaic energy conversion.
Flurin’s published work can be found at https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=DsEKSLgAAAAJ&hl=en&oi=ao and Mohammed’s at https://scholar.google.co.uk/citations?user=B5LwybkAAAAJ&hl=en. Follow Mohammed on twitter at @Mo_Azzouzi.
The CPE Soft Electronic Materials is a seminar series funded by the CPE for PhDs, PostDocs and Fellows to present their research to open up discussion and collaboration. We aim to have speakers from all groups and areas of research within the CPE.
