Please join us for the latest Infection Rounds event. This meeting, which is held twice a term, brings together clinicians and scientists working in infectious disease to discuss clinical cases and the latest scientific developments.

About the speakers

Dr Margherita Bracchi is a consultant in HIV medicine at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, where she also runs the combined HIV/TB clinic. Margherita’s specialist interest is in mycobacteria and she has helped write the TB/HIV and opportunistic infections BHIVA guidelines, and the antiretroviral section of the EACS guidelines.

Dr Chris Chiu (Clinical Reader and Honorary Consultant in Infectious Diseases) leads a multi-disciplinary research group that uses experimental medicine models (including human infection challenge and vaccination) to investigate susceptibility and protection against respiratory viral infections, including influenza virus, RSV and SARS-CoV-2. Chris also leads the national consortium for SARS-CoV-2 human challenge which will soon begin recruitment.
