How economics helps us understand the world
Current and future women luminaries: Is there such thing as a free lunch? How economics helps us understand the world.

About this event

Please join us for a special series of conversations to showcase our inspirational luminaries’ careers and to share lessons learned with the next generation of future stars. Imperial has amazing women who are leaders in their fields and provide inspiration to many inside and outside the College. When they talk about their research, teaching, and societal engagement, they inspire and motivate others.

Hosted by Professor Alice P. Gast, our next conversation will be with Professor Dame Carol Propper CBE, Professor of Economics in the Department of Economics and Public Policy, and Dr Mirabelle Muûls, Assistant Professor in Economics in the Department of Economics and Public Policy. Professor Propper will speak about her breakthroughs, innovations and discoveries throughout her career, and Dr Muûls will share her dreams and aspirations as they discuss life experiences and the teachable moments that shape who we are and what we do.

Dr Mirabelle Muûls

Mirabelle is an Assistant Professor in Economics in the Department of Economics and Public Policy. She is also a Research Associate in the Centre for Economic Performance at the London School of Economics.
