While we’re excited to be inviting alumni back to South Kensington for The Great Exhibition Road Festival and Alumni Weekend, our fantastic alumni groups around the world are also getting involved by holding a Global Celebration event in their own cities, alongside the main event in London.

Please join Global Celebration in Malaysia – an alumni get-together and networking event organised by Imperial College Alumni Association Malaysia (ICAAM) at Bangi Resort Hotel. Come along and spend an afternoon catching up with alumni  at this wonderful green haven outside Kuala Lumpur city centre. Bring your family and friends along for guided tours of a farm focusing on circular agriculture and a high-tech central kitchen located next to the hotel. Also calling for durian lovers – make this your weekend getaway and enjoy the annual Durian Festival & Awards!

Special room rate packages are available for alumni seeking to make it a weekend getaway. Golfing is available at the 27-hole golf course of Bangi Golf Resort adjacent to the hotel. For those interested in dining at the De.Wan 1958 by Chef Wan @ Bangi, you may contact the hotel for a reservation. Bangi Resort Hotel is a 40-minute drive from Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

Event cost (for alumni): MYR 39. This doesn’t include fees to participate in Durian Festival events and activities.
