DESCRIPTION:Please join the Department of Infectious Disease for a lecture 
 from Professor Gary McLean\, Director of the Cellular Molecular and Immuno
 logy Research Centre at London Met.\nGary McLean is an academic research s
 cientist with over 25 years of experience in infectious disease immunology
  with a particular emphasis on monoclonal antibody generation and recombin
 ant antibody expression. His scientific training has led him from New Zeal
 and to Canada where he produced and used monoclonal antibodies for cancer 
 therapy and to understand immune repertoires\; New York where he studied a
 ntibody gene diversification mechanisms\; and Texas where he continued stu
 dies using monoclonal antibodies as antiviral agents. He is currently base
 d in London UK where his research focuses on antibody guided rational vacc
 ine design for human viruses.\nThe lecture will run for 40 minutes and be 
 followed by a Q&A for 20 minutes.\nHow to attend\nPlease note this is a hy
