SUMMARY:Mental health and wellbeing in the climate emergency: Global perspe
 ctives and calls to action
DESCRIPTION:The climate change special issue of the International Review of
  Psychiatry launched in September to showcase diverse global perspectives 
 on how mental health and wellbeing is being damaged by the climate emergen
 cy\, and what mental health professionals and others can do to cope and ac
 t with care for human and more-than-human worlds. The diverse range of pap
 ers include: perspectives on the mental health and wellbeing experiences o
 f different countries and communities in the climate emergency\; 23 young 
 people from around the world sharing their climate-related feelings\, desi
 res for mental health support and hopes for a more compassionate world\; a
  narrative review comprehensively synthesising the cross-disciplinary evid
 ence on the interconnections between climate change and mental health and 
 wellbeing\; and calls to action for the mental health professional communi
 ty to appropriately support\, intervene and advocate for investment in car
 e of people and the planet.\nWith such a wealth of information to digest\,
  we are delighted to continue and extend discussions on the content of the
  issue at the Planetary Health Alliance Annual Meeting. This event will ta
 ke audience questions on the papers across the special issue\, with a subs
 et of authors available to unpack many of the key themes and calls to acti
