Science cafe discussion

We will be discussing science cafés as an unconventional approach to science education, exploring both their benefits and challenges. Science cafés aim to make scientific findings more accessible and digestible for the general public, allowing an informal exchange of questions and answers. The main idea is to present a fresh, alternative educational approach to the community at Imperial, to increase access and exposure to science for less fortunate people living in rural communities, and for the non-experts in society that simply want to learn more.

The contributors to this event come from a variety of different regions including Nigeria, Portugal and the UK and have all been involved in science café projects. This event will provide insight on some reginal differences in how science cafés are run.
