DESCRIPTION:\n\nIn this talk\, Dr Adrija Dey will address how we can be bet
 ter allies to survivors of Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) within 
 institutions and\, through the process of allyship\, achieve wider structu
 ral and cultural transformations. Se will also speak about due process\, a
 ccountability and ways in which the labour and burden that survivors face 
 can be distributed within the community in a way that the survivors can fo
 cus on healing and finding justice in their own ways and in their own term
 s.\nThis event is Chaired by Kani Kamara\, Head of the Equality\, Diversit
 y and Inclusion Centre at Imperial.\nThis event is only open to staff\, st
 udents and the Imperial community.\nThis event is a part of Women at Imper

 n\nAbout Dr Adrija Dey\nDr Adrija Dey is a Senior Research Fellow at the S
 chool of Social Science and School of Media and Communication at the Unive
 rsity of Westminster\, where her project is titled “Decolonising Sexual 
 and Gender Based Violence in Higher Education: Innovations in Theory\, Pol
 icy and Practice”. Adrija conducts her research with a specific focus on
  the Global South and through a decolonial and intersectional feminist len
 s. She has been a vocal campaigner against sexual misconduct in Higher Edu
 cation and currently is the Director of International Knowledge Exchange a
 t the 1752 group.\n
