DESCRIPTION:Starting from the Nordheim equation for bosons\, I will motivat
 e and present some recent results on a Boltzmann equation for cubic intera
 ctions. The approximation by a  kinetic wave equation will then be shown 
 to be very natural and extremely useful. Classical tools and arguments fro
 m the wave turbulence theory will be presented and used to explain our res
 ults.
