  It is an ancient pattern of evening prayer combining music\, words\, and 
 silence to create a time for personal reflection and stillness (whatever y
 our faith or worldview). The services regularly use music written by curre
 nt students and women composers.\nThe music in the service explores the th
 eme of Light for the festival of Candlemas with music by William Byrd\, Jo
 hann Eccard\, and Charles Standford\, one of the founding professors of th
 e RCM. Plus a psalm setting composed by a member of the Chamber Choir. \n
