 ortant role of universities in providing sanctuary to exiled academics an
 d how we can do more to show meaningful\, sustained solidarity with at-r
 isk scholars around the world.\nUniversities have a long-standing moral an
 d intellectual role as places of refuge\, inquiry\, and free expression. W
 hen academics are forced into exile – often due to war\, repression\, o
 r persecution – universities can provide not just employment\, but safe
 ty\, dignity\, and a continuation of their life’s work. Sadly\, more ac
 ademics than ever seek a safe place to continue their research.\nEstablis
 hed in 1933\, Cara works with universities across the UK to help at-risk a
 cademics find safety and continue their research in secure environments. 
 Imperial is proud to partner with Cara through its Fellowship programme. 
 Developed with a network of over 135 UK universities and research institut
 es\, the programme enables academics continue to conduct their research an
 d grow professional networks and skills in safety. As part of this initiat
