SUMMARY:Catalysing Climate Resilience: Current Strengths & Future Innovatio
 ns
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the launch of a new joint report from the Granth
am Research Institute\, CETEx\, and the Centre for Economic Performance at
LSE and the Grantham Institute at Imperial College London: Catalysing Cli
mate Resilience: current strengths and future innovations. The report pres
ents the findings of a study examining the extent to which climate change
adaptation technologies—beyond their strategic importance for resilie
nce—also represent promising areas for economic growth.\nWhile the gr
owth potential associated with climate change mitigation is well establish
ed\, the economic opportunities linked to climate change adaptation hav
e received far less attention. We hope this report will stimulate greater
exploration of how innovation for climate resilience can be supported and
how it might contribute to the UK’s future growth.\nThe UK is particu
larly well positioned to lead in this space\, given its existing strengths
in sectors such as life sciences\, engineering and financial services.
The study draws on multiple evidence sources—including patent analysis\,
market assessment and case studies—to evaluate UK capabilities and i
dentify adaptation-related sectors with strong potential for growth.\n
The format will include a presentation of the research findings and a pane
l discussion with speakers from academia and industry.\nPlease note this e
vent is invite-only. You can register your interest to attend and\, if th
ere is availability\, you may be invited to attend. Please note registeri
