SUMMARY:Maritime Innovation Outlook: Resilience and Future Readiness Semina
 r
DESCRIPTION:Description \nThe maritime sector is entering an increasingly
complex decision environment shaped by decarbonisation pressures\, alterna
tive fuels\, digital systems\, traceability requirements\, and growing exp
 ectations around compliance\, evidence\, and verification. Decision-making
is no longer only about selecting technologies\, but about demonstrating
that choices are safe\, credible\, and operationally viable in practice.\n
This seminar explores how maritime decision-making is evolving in this con
text\, focusing on how regulation\, data\, digital tools\, and organisatio
nal capability can support more robust\, transparent\, and timely decision
 s. It aims to move beyond high-level ambition and examine what can realist
ically be deployed\, scaled\, and trusted across the sector.\nStructure\nT
he session will hold a moderated panel discussion aiming to cover the foll
 owing topics:\n\nTheme 1: Future horizons – ambition\, evidence\, and re
adiness\n\nThe maritime sector is facing an expanding set of options\, inc
luding alternative fuels such as ammonia\, methanol\, hydrogen and even nu
clear\, alongside autonomy\, digital systems\, and new vessel designs. How
ever\, growing ambition has not necessarily translated into deployable sol
utions at scale. This theme explores whether the industry is converging on
credible pathways\, or accumulating options without clear routes to imple
mentation\, and how evidence\, safety and regulatory readiness shape this
process.\n\nTheme 2: System bottlenecks for scaling under real-world const
raints\n\nThe transition is not limited by technology\, but by system-leve
l constraints including fuel availability\, port infrastructure\, regulato
ry processes\, workforce readiness\, investment priorities and fragmented
data. These challenges are often addressed in isolation\, leading to misal
ignment across stakeholders. This theme examines which constraints are mos
t critical in practice\, and how they interact to prevent scaling.\n\nThem
e 3: From innovation to approval to deployment\n\nMany promising technolog
ies remain trapped between demonstration and real-world deployment. Innova
 tion\, regulation\, safety assurance\, infrastructure\, digital tools\, fi
nance and workforce readiness are still treated as separate agendas. This
theme explores how these elements can be integrated into coherent pathways
that enable safe\, scalable implementation\, and how early alignment betw
een innovators and regulators can accelerate deployment.\n\nTheme 4: Decis
ion-making under uncertainty – resilience and confidence to act\n\nIn a
context where regulation\, technology\, infrastructure and markets are evo
lving at different speeds\, resilience is increasingly about making robust
decisions under uncertainty. The challenge is no longer only technical\,
but organisational: how to act confidently while maintaining flexibility\,
compliance\, and financial discipline. This theme explores how data\, AI-
enabled tools\, and verification mechanisms can support better decisions a
nd reduce perceived investment risk.\nRegistration\nParticipation is free
for all Posidonia attendees.\nThere is no reservation system in place but
attendees are encouraged to register using the link provided below.\nRegis
