SUMMARY:Regulation and Function of ERα Controlled Stable Enhancer RNAs in 
 Breast Cancer
DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to host Dr Leandro Castellano\, Associate Prof
 essor in RNA Biology and Head of the Department of Biochemistry and Biomed
 icine at the University of Sussex\, as our invited speaker.\nDr Castellano
  completed his PhD in Human Biology and Genetics at Sapienza University of
  Rome\, where he investigated post-transcriptional gene silencing in circa
 dian regulation. His research later focused on microRNAs in human cell cyc
 le control and chronic lymphocytic leukaemia. He subsequently joined Imper
 ial College London as a Research Associate\, where he explored the role of
  microRNAs in epithelial cancers.\nSince 2011\, his work has expanded to i
 nclude a broader range of short and long non-coding RNAs\, examining their
  contributions to epithelial cancer development and progression. Alongside
  his research\, he has supervised numerous PhD students and postdoctoral r
 esearchers.\nDr Castellano is currently also Co-Director of the Sussex RNA
  Research Centre. His talk will provide valuable insights into the evolvin
 g role of RNA biology in cancer research and its implications for future t
 herapeutic approaches.\nAll students\, researchers\, and staff with an int
 erest in molecular biology and cancer research are encouraged to attend.
