DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to welcome Professor Simon Jones\, Co-Director o
 f the Systems Immunity Research Institute and the Hodge Centre for Transla
 tional Neuroscience at Cardiff University\, as our guest speaker.\nProfess
 or Jones is an internationally recognised authority in cytokine biology. H
 is pioneering research has transformed our understanding of how cytokines 
 regulate inflammation and has led to the development of innovative approac
 hes for treating immune-mediated inflammatory diseases\, including rheumat
 oid arthritis. His work on interleukin-6 (IL-6) signalling has had a major
  impact on both academic research and the development of biological medici
 nes used in clinical practice. \nIn addition to his research achievements\
 , Professor Jones advises the pharmaceutical sector on biological medicine
 s\, serves on major research funding and advisory panels\, and plays a lea
 ding role in the International Cytokine & Interferon Society. He has recei
 ved numerous honours\, including the Boltzmann Award for cytokine research
 \, and is a Fellow of the Learned Society of Wales and a Member of Academi
 a Europaea. \nWe look forward to welcoming Professor Jones and hope you wi
