DESCRIPTION:Our Virtual Open Event\, on Thursday\, 26 November 2026\, 12.00
 -13.00\, is a great way to find out more about studying MRes Biomedical Re
 search\, and all its stream options\, at Imperial’s Faculty of Medicine.
 \nThis virtual event will include:\n\nIntroduction to Imperial and the MRe
 s in Biomedical Research\nOverview of Streams\nQuestion and Answer Session
  with Course Directors\nStudent Perspective & Alumni Q&A\n\nThe BMR course
  and its streams will give you the training required to embark on a career
  in biomedical research. Your work will be guided by experienced staff in 
 one of the world’s leading biomedical research institutions. Two five-mo
 nth research projects will build your research skills which will be augmen
 ted with training in grant writing\, technical workshops\, and journal clu
 bs.\nYou have the option of choosing our general biomedical research strea
 m\, or one of six specialisms. All of our biomedical research streams have
  the same course structure and each stream has its own tailored set of pro
 jects alongside a core programme of lectures\, seminars and practical clas
 ses.\n\nGeneral Biomedical Research\nBacterial Pathogenesis and Infection\
 nData Science\nEpidemiology\, Evolution and Control of Infectious Diseases
 \nMicrobiome in Health and Disease\nMolecular Basis of Human Disease\nResp
