 humanitarian leader\, will discuss how medicine\, leadership and politics 
 intersect in real humanitarian settings. Dr Christos will share what he ha
 s learnt from years of clinical and operational work with Médecins Sans F
 rontières\, and where he sees opportunities academic institutions to cont
 ribute to humanitarian medicine. \n\n\n  \n\n\nAbout the speaker\nDr Ch
 ristos Christou is a surgeon and humanitarian leader\, and former Internat
 ional President of Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)\, a role he held from 
 2019 to 2025. \nDr Christou’s career is dedicated to equitable access t
 o care. His career includes leading Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) throu
 gh multiple humanitarian crises\, including Ebola and COVID-19. He is also
  a visiting professor at Harvard.\nIn 2025\, he was one of TIME magazine
 ’s 100 most influential people in philanthropy. \n
