DESCRIPTION:This special event is co-hosted by RSS Data Science and AI and 
 Imperial College London. We are delighted to welcome Professor David Hand 
 OBE\, who will deliver a talk based on his latest book\, What’s the Ques
 tion? Deciding What You Really Want to Know:\nBefore any effective data an
 alysis can be undertaken\, we must be clear about the precise question we 
 wish to answer and ensure that it is accurately represented in statistical
  terms. Ambiguous questions or inappropriate analytical approaches can lea
 d to misleading conclusions and poor decisions. In this talk\, Professor H
 and will explore this challenge through a range of examples\, demonstratin
 g how the most obvious method is not always the most appropriate one\, fro
 m straightforward problems to complex statistical applications.\nTo celebr
