 uality and anti-discrimination legislation\, including protected\ncharacte
 ristics.\n• Recognise their responsibilities under the law as students\,
  colleagues\, and researchers.\n• Understand the potential consequences 
 (legal and institutional) of non-compliance.\n Recognize Why EDI Matters 
 in Research and Academia\n• Explain the benefits of diversity and inclus
 ion for scientific innovation\, collaboration\, and\nproblem-solving.\n•
  Articulate the impact of exclusionary practices or bias on individuals\, 
 research quality\, and\ndepartmental culture.\n• Connect EDI principles 
 to values of academic integrity\, fairness\, and excellence.\nIdentify and
  Model Good Practice\n• Demonstrate awareness of inclusive behaviours in
  lab\, seminar\, and collaborative research\nenvironments.\n• Recognise 
 examples of good practice in recruitment\, supervision\, authorship\, and
