 f Infectious Diseases at University College London.\nNdung’u is a member
  of the Academy of Science of South Africa\, a fellow of the African Acade
 my of Sciences and a member of the United States National Academy of Medic
 ine. He is co-chair of the International AIDS Society (IAS) Towards an HIV
  Cure Advisory Board and a member of the IAS Governing Council. He leads a
  group working on basic and translational immunopathogenesis research for 
 HIV prevention or cure strategies. He recently led the first interventiona
