DESCRIPTION:Join us for Imperial’s Engagement Day: Developing inclusive 
 practice on Wednesday 11 November 2026.\nIdentifying and knowing your audi
 ence\, who they are and what’s relevant to them\, is crucial to successf
 ul engagement.  But how can you ensure that the activities you run are in
 clusive of your audience’s background and needs?  How can you identify 
 and overcome access barriers to effectively engage with your target audien
 ce so that both you and they can benefit from the interaction?\nFrom psych
 ologically informed and participatory research approaches\, to using craft
  and conversation to create connections between researchers and communitie
 s\, this year’s Engagement Day is an opportunity to be challenged and in
 spired through a programme of workshops\, discussions and networking.\nWit
 h both internal and external speakers providing examples of new and innova
 tive practice\, learn from the lived experience of others to strengthen an
 d improve your approach to societal engagement.\nThe day will include a pa
 nel discussion\, interactive Deep Dive sessions in the morning and afterno
 on\, Lightning Talks\, and plenty of time to network with other attendees 
 from across Imperial and beyond\nUpon registering your place\, you will be
  asked to select one Deep Dive for the morning and one for the afternoon f
 rom the options below. We encourage you to read the session descriptions o
 n the Engagement Day webpage to inform your decision. Please note that the
  Deep Dives are advertised on a first come first served basis with spaces 
 limited to 32 per session.\nMorning Deep Dive sessions:\n\nPsychologically

 crafting connections: Women and Asthma\, facilitated by Ellen Dowell and E
 sther Malvern at Scale Space\n\nAfternoon Deep Dive sessions:\n\nPlanning 
 for inclusion – co-creating an inclusive events toolkit\, facilitated by
  Samantha Crisp and Lillie Pakzad-Shahabi and Scale Space\nThe trouble wit
 h inclusion: using participatory approaches to address barriers to inclusi
 ve engagement\, facilitated by Tom Morton at Scale Space\nDesigning inclus
 ive STEM programmes: insights from evaluation\, facilitated by Ali Lyons a
 nd Ada Mau at Scale Space\n\n \nFurther information about the programme w
 ill be published on our website over the coming weeks.\n\nDue to limited 
 capacity\, Engagement Day is open to Imperial staff only.\nWe hope you are
  able to attend the whole Engagement Day programme. However\, we can accom
 modate partial attendance where required for accessibility. Please contact
